Breathing in, I see myself as still water.

Breathing out, I reflect things as they are. ~ Thich Nhat Hanh

One of my instructors said when needling, we needed to visualize and strive to be a Full Moon Over a Still Pond.  This stuck with me and became a symbol of the beauty and totality of acupuncture; the true connection of mind, body, and spirit.

In my search for a name for my practice, I kept this centered in my mind.  This is where Pacifica comes from.  Yes, I lived on the Pacific Ocean, but it appealed because of the very meaning of the word–peaceful or calm waters.  To be calm, or peaceful, I believe this is a state of mind we can all aim to achieve.

I decided to keep the name Acupuncture Pacifica when I moved to Valparaiso, because it is a part of me (as Hawaii always will be) and it speaks to how I run my practice.  Therefore, I’ve decided I’m Bringing Light and Aloha to the Midwest!
